Omowaleola is from Southwestern Nigeria and has worked in the Nigerian Private and Public Sector before coming to University. She received her HND in Computer Science at Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun state in 2016 before going to work for the IT department of the University College Hospital Ibadan Oyo state. The Hospital supported Omo to go back to University to achieve first her BSC in Computer Science from the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti.
In 2023 Omowaleola was accepted to study Project Management at the University of the West of Scotland where she was actively involved in the project management society as its Vice-President. Her volunteering for the society was recognised later that year when she received a Volunteering Recognition Award from UWS. Whilst volunteering, Omowaleola became involved in the Students Union, which led to her standing in the Presidential Election of 2024, which she won – receiving more votes than any other President in the Union’s history.
Since taking office, she has honed her skills in problem solving, stakeholder engagement and effective communication. She has taken a lead role in the implementation of the Union’s democracy review by gathering feedback from students and working to further develop the proposals. Omowaleola enjoys cooking, shopping and reading, and looks forward to meeting as many students as possible. .
