Library Books to be posted to students homes during Covid-19

    Rejected
Hi there, my name is Megan and I’m a 2nd Year events Management Student at UWS in Paisley and the student rep for that course as well. As we all know, learning from home is hard work and can sometimes be quite difficult. As well as some students when it comes to our assessments, with everything that is going on we are often sometimes left with limited resources. Some students are sometimes unable to access the university library or any library. So I’m hopefully going to be starting a plan for the university being able to post books out to students who are unable to come to campus and get them. Students will only need to pay a small postage charge and will also be held responsible for returning it back. Each book could also have a 72hour quarantine period, to stop the spread of Covid-19. I think this will help students a lot more better when it comes to research for their assessment if academic resources they find online are sometimes not helpful.

Why you think it is important

So that students will be able to access all kinds of academic resources for their assessments.

Is there anything else you think we should know?

      Any more questions, email B00330092@studentmail.uws.ac.uk

11:41am on 5 Jan 21 Would like to suggest more copies of ebooks and a wider range of journals is considered. Traditional books have accessibility issues plus there's further issues of getting to a post office to post back for disabled students. Completely understand this policy and hope it is discussed just perhaps would lean more towards online materials.
