Here you can find a list of all the policies which have been passed by student council. We're working on a live tracker so you can check the progress of each policy, but until we've got that up and running please contact your student president team to ask for an update on policies. You can also check out current ideas and rejected ideas.

    Mature Student Representation

      When the university is developing new career support mechanisms and features, the mature student is often not brought into account, social event and the likes also.

      Why you think it is important

      The mature student is still very much a minority when it comes to university, a lot of the benefits and features that are part of UWS often focus around younger people effectively starting their lives, with the mature student being left behind.

      Is there anything else you think we should know?

      As a mature student I found it difficult to mix with younger people and meet new people.

The Students Association has a Mature Students Group, if you're interested in getting involved in this you can come into the union and speak to us about it. Alternatively, at freshers the group will be relaunched, or you can e-mail me on sauwsvpeducation@uws.ac.uk and we can discuss what you would like to see.
