Introduction of Liberation Groups on All Campuses (Policy Lapse)

    Passed
UWS Union has to take a more proactive role in the establishment of liberation groups, and giving minority groups representation in the university.

Why you think it is important

there is currently no active BME group, or disabled students groups on the paisley campus, and no liberation groups on any other campus, this means students who are minorities do not have a platform to enact change or activism in the university. UWS Union has a role and more importantly an obligation to ensure all students have a voice and the opportunity to make their voice heard, and need to more actively support minority groups to ensure they are fulfilling the needs of all students

Is there anything else you think we should know?

      Passed March 2019

I have read the guidance on what makes a good policy on the student council page
