Holding Sabbatical Officers to their Manifestos (Policy Lapse)

    Passed
To instruct Sabbatical Officers to actively engage with their election manifestos. -To instruct Sabbatical Officers to submit update of their progress on manifesto points to the Union Chair (in absence of post, each School Officer) 2 weeks prior to each student council. -To instruct the Union Chair (in the absence of post, each School Officer) to disseminate this information to all student reps 1 week prior to each student council.

Why you think it is important

Currently, our sabbatical officers can be asked for an update at the Union Chairs discretion and can be questioned on their work, however, this is not a proactive approach. This approach will mandate sabbatical officers to account for their work on a regular basis.

Is there anything else you think we should know?

This will not impact current sabbatical officers and the incoming sabbatical team has agreed to these measures. Passed March 2019

I have read the guidance on what makes a good policy on the student council page
