Here you can find a list of all the policies which have been passed by student council. We're working on a live tracker so you can check the progress of each policy, but until we've got that up and running please contact your student president team to ask for an update on policies. You can also check out current ideas and rejected ideas.

Lack of course specific books available in Paisley

    Passed
Move books to the main campus where a degree is based.

Why you think it is important

When a degree is based at Paisley the library should be able to provide essential books, listed by the course leads, from that library instead of waiting to get them from elsewhere. With the Criminal Justice degree moving to Paisley from the Lanarkshire campus the books required for first year reading are not easily accessible. This is causing a delay for students obtaining the books, having an impact on their studies.

Is there anything else you think we should know?

I understand that many of the older books are no longer published and therefore it is difficult to obtain more than one copy. However, the time it takes to get that one book, from the other campus can take up to a week.
