Continue to provide free breakfast on campus for all students

    Current
We would like to continue the provision of free breakfast on campus for all students. We would also like to propose different options such as cereal and toast.

Why you think it is important

The provision of free breakfast is important in a number of ways: it ensures that all students can start their day with a nutritious meal, even if they are struggling with the cost of living; it helps students who are rushing around, doing school runs, or travelling distances to uni, to grab something to eat before class, when they may not have had time to do so before class; and it helps students who may otherwise feel isolated, to spend some time with other members of their cohort or other cohorts, and build a feeling of community with one another. People accessing the free breakfast, will sit at a table and talk with people they might not otherwise speak with, and may open up to someone over coffee and toast if they’re struggling, or need support with something.

Is there anything else you think we should know?
