The LGBTQIA+ Society was established in early 2023, we are open to all self-defining LGBTQIA+ students & their allies studying at any UWS Campus. Once a member, you'll receive information for the next meeting and find out what we're currently up too!. To join the society please register using the 'join' box on the right & remember to checkout!
You will also have the opportunity to join our WhatsApp chat if you wish too.
We are here to be an open welcoming community that you can come speak to if you need someone to talk to, we are here for the good the bad and all the in between. If you are having issues or think there is something, we can help with we are here for that too. We aim to be all inclusive, welcoming, understanding and be there when you need us.
Our Principles
respect
We value and accept the uniqueness and each person’s individual journeys. We are motivated by compassion and love for one another and ourselves, and this love drives all we do.
With openness and empathy, we listen, consider, and take action.
With an everchanging landscape in the world we all must embrace change, as such the society is always welcoming of suggestions and embrace all points of view.
The society aims to be a beacon of light to those who need us, to be, to be transparent and honest,
If you have any questions about the society or it's activities, please email Gordon Bulloch (He/Him) our President at lgbtqiaplus@uwsunion.org.uk who will respond as soon as possible!
