ROLE DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help cheer on and support our incredible SVH Kiltwalkers! As a volunteer, you’ll be stationed along the walk route, providing encouragement, motivation, and plenty of cheers to keep our walkers going strong.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an inspiring event, meet new people, and make a real difference by supporting our walkers as they take on the challenge for a great cause.

ABOUT THIS ORGANISATION

St Vincent’s Hospice is the heart of the community and for 36 years has provided end of life care to members of Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire who are facing terminal illness. We also provide much needed support to loved ones who may be affected by this life changing news. Our goal is to ensure each person has a comfortable and dignified death and that the last few years, months, weeks or days of someone’s life is as comfortable as possible.

WHAT COULD YOU GAIN?

Students who volunteer at the Kiltwalk Support Crew will gain valuable experience and skills while making a meaningful impact. Here’s what they can expect to gain:

Personal & Professional Development

  • Communication Skills – Engage with walkers and fellow volunteers, building confidence in public interaction.
  • Teamwork – Work alongside other volunteers to create an uplifting atmosphere.
  • Event Experience – Gain insight into event organisation and charity fundraising.
  • Networking Opportunities – Meet people from different backgrounds, including charity staff, fundraisers, and other volunteers.

Making a Difference

  • Support a Great Cause – Help raise awareness and encourage those fundraising for St. Vincent’s Hospice.
  • Boost Community Spirit – Play a vital role in creating a positive and motivating experience for walkers.

Fun & Rewarding Experience

  • Be part of an exciting and inspiring event with a fantastic atmosphere.
  • Enjoy a day outdoors, making memories while giving back!
