ROLE DESCRIPTION
Are you passionate about storytelling, local heritage, and creative media? Join us in preserving and sharing the rich history of Paisley through ReMode’s Zine, Podcast, and Film! We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help create engaging content, document community stories, and contribute to an exciting exhibition showcasing the heritage of Paisley. This project is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
What You’ll Do:
● Contribute Ideas: Help decide what goes into our zine, podcast, and film by suggesting creative content ideas.
● Create Content: Write articles, conduct interviews, and contribute to the development of audio and visual material.
● Collaborate on Editing: Join our editing sessions to shape the final pieces and refine the content for publication.
● Document Events: Attend ReMode events and assist in documenting them for future inclusion in our media projects.
By volunteering with ReMode, you’ll gain valuable experience in content creation and event documentation, while helping preserve the stories and heritage of Paisley. This is a unique opportunity to get your creative work out into the world, learn new skills, and be part of a community-focused project—all while being mentored by a professional in the field. Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, this project is made possible, offering you the chance to help archive Paisley’s heritage and current history for future generations.
Come along to an afternoon at Paisley’s Library to find out more about the ReMode’s podcast project and Paisley’s thread mill history on 12th December 1.30-3.30pm. This project starts in January with a workshopping session.

ABOUT THIS ORGANISATION
ReMode Renfrewshire is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company. Our purpose is to raise awareness of the environmental impact of the fashion and textiles industry and give young people and the wider community the knowledge and practical skills needed to reduce this impact. This year we are funded by The National Lottery Heritage fund, we are putting on a series of heritage events and talks and would like volunteers to help us document these events with our professional facilitators.

WHAT COULD YOU GAIN?

No requirement but just to arrive 30 mins before your first attendance so that we can have a chat about what you want from this opportunity.
