We are looking for a talented Social Media Volunteer to create and maintain a strong online presence for our small charitable company. Your role is to implement online marketing strategies through social media accounts. Equal Futures creates connections for people with a learning disability or autism and their families through Circles of Support, befriending and social events. As a Social Media Volunteer, you will develop easy to read, original content and suggest creative ways to attract more online followers and promote our service. Ultimately, you should be able to increase awareness for our organisation. We are looking for someone who can commit to working on our social media strategy for at least 6 to 12 months, posting regular content on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. You will benefit from training and on-going skills development, as well as friendly, professional support from our Project Coordinators.
The main purpose of the role is to support the social media presence of Equal Futures, this may be by creating blogs, either by hand, electronically or directly onto social media sites or attending events, interviewing, and speaking to people to then write and submit to social media.
Equal Futures are a small charity who help adults with a learning disability tackle social isolation with 1:1 befriending and circles of support.
This is a great opportunity to share your existing skills and experience and give back to the community you live in. You will be a valued member of an experienced team where you will have the opportunity to share the insights you have gained from your experience. You will be able to volunteer on a flexible basis that suits you and the person you are supporting. You will be provided with relevant information, training, and regular support sessions so you can get the most out of volunteering for Equal Futures. You will be involved within your own community where you will be able to see the difference you are making.
