The Project Management Society (PMS) Welcome Event took place on 18th September 2024 at the Paisley Campus Union, Level 2, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The event introduced students to our society, our goals, and upcoming activities, while also providing a great platform for networking.

Event Highlights:

• Opening Remarks set the stage, followed by a brief introduction to the society’s mission.
• Executives presented an outline of our upcoming events, giving everyone a taste of what to expect this academic year.
• Dr. Andy Durrant, the MSc Project Management Program Leader, gave an insightful overview of the MSc Project Management program.
• A break for refreshments and networking allowed attendees to connect and discuss shared interests.
• Fun games and activities were a hit, fostering a sense of community and light-hearted competition.
• We wrapped up with a Q&A session where students could voice their thoughts and get answers on everything from program specifics to joining PMS.

The event saw a good turnout, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Attendees appreciated the structured flow of the program and especially enjoyed the interactive segments.
