On the 14th of April, our Nepalese Students' Society celebrated their New Year and had a big celebration!
over 200 students of many nationalities united together to celebrate New Year.
The event was a celebration of the Nepalese New Year 2082, hosted by the Nepalese student society (NSS) at the university. The night featured a variety of cultural performances including: traditional and modern dances, singing, guest speeches and music. There was also authentic Nepalese food, fun games, and opportunities for everyone to socialize and share stories. The entire evening was filled with vibrant decorations, traditional outfits, and cultural pride!

Students thoughts on the event:
- "For many, it felt like a little piece of home, and for others, it was a joyful introduction to Nepalese culture."
- "Events like this help Nepalese students feel more connected, supported, and confident in expressing their identity."
- "It truly makes University feel like a home away from home"
- "The atmosphere was energetic and welcoming, making it a memorable night for everyone who attended."
- "It helps reduce homesickness and creates a positive, inclusive environment where students can thrive both socially and emotionally."

The event was only possible because of the hard work of the Nepalese Students Society Committee. If we want more events like this, we need new and inspired students to join different societies:
