On 11th March our Indian Students' Society celebrated Holi and welcomed new students to the university
Almost 200 students of many nationalities united together to celebrate Holi.
It was organised by UWS Indian society. The celebration had some great music, competitive games and a lot of dancing to the bollywood beats! The infamous south Indian biriyani was the cherry on top. Students had a lot of fun dancing to the great selection of songs and the vibe of the crowd


Students thoughts on the event:
- "The party was very, very, very awesome! We enjoyed it. we enjoyed the DJ too"
- "We enjoyed it a lot. We want you to organise more of these"
- "The food was very good. Very tasty!"
- "I miss the Holi colours but when I came here, I feel so good, like in India"
- "You've inspired us to organise our own events"

The event was only possible because of the hard work of the Indian Students Society Committee (pictured above). If we want more events like this, we need new students to take up positions on the committee:
