UWS 2025 Chinese Spring Festival Gala Recap!

Hello everyone! We are delighted to share that our Chinese Spring Festival event was a great success! Nearly 100 students joined us, got together to celebrate this traditional Chinese festival! 

Our Highlights of the Day: 

• Teachers shared experiences on how to live in the UK, told the students to set goals, exercise their learning ability and comprehensive quality, and provided practical advice to everyone   
• We invited students from the University of Glasgow and the University of Stirling to participate in our activities and music performances. The live effect was very good and it was very popular. 
• The society members brought to you traditional Chinese food: spring rolls, chicken dumplings, roast beef, curry chicken, Sichuan chicken, tofu baby cabbage, fried rice, noodles, fortune cookies, Want Want Simian, snow cake, broad beans, tofu, hawthorn cake, crisp horn, nori roll, bean dry, Sajima, melon seeds, nori, Konjac Cool, sesame crisp, peanut crisp, Kiss yaki, shrimp sticks, crispy candy. A variety of delicious dishes and snacks such as malt biscuits were available for everyone to enjoy while celebrating Chinese New Year activities.
• We have prepared fun games such as flying flowers, guessing puzzles, listening to music and guessing song names - over 100 opportunities, 100+ gifts! We bought boots and Amazon gift cards, cookies, chocolate, cleaning cloths, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, tinfoil, cleaning spray, dish soap, pipe cleaners, kitchen roll and hidden prizes! Everyone was very active in the activities and won a lot of prizes! 

The purpose of this event is to bring Chinese students studying at UWS together in the UK to celebrate the Chinese New Year, and we are very grateful for everyone's participation!
