Candidate for the position of Education and Social Sciences School Officers

Louise Devlin

Hello, my name is Louise Devlin. I'm offering to do the school officer position for the department of Education and Social Sciences.

I would love to do this role as I'm very passionate about student welfare. As a school officer, I would prioritise mental health for students.

As a trained psychotherapist and counsellor, I believe that student wellbeing is fundamental to good academic performance. I'm also a mum of 3 beautiful children, and one of the reasons I'm currently studying is so I can provide a better standard of living for them in the future.

Building a solid foundation is imperative to climb any career ladder, but it's our wellbeing and mental health which will always matter no matter what we do.

I am a mature student and I'm currently doing a Masters in psychology (conversion) at the Paisley campus. I've lived and worked previously in Italy, Germany, Spain, England and India. I love the diversity of students at university and would strive to make sure many voices from the uni community are heard and action taken on what they say.

Vote for me to prioritise mental health and wellbeing of students :-)
